Most aviators - students and professionals alike - rarely forget an airplane in which they've flown. For students, especially, their first trainer will always have a special place in their hearts and logbooks - no matter how many other aircraft they may pilot.
Picking a plane to rent (or in in which to learn) should to some degree be based upon your flying goals and your budget. Striking a balance between cost, availability, location and features is a decision process each student must go through. In the interest of presenting an option that fits budgets, great reliability and top notch instruction, AFS offers two trainers for both flight instruction and rental. These aircraft, both low-winged Piper Warriors, were chosen as alternatives to the Cessna 172 familiar to many pilots.
